At Northwest Permanente, P.C., we value the contributions of unique individuals that make our care successful. We value diversity as an essential element of our organization, and we foster a collaborative environment in which each person is a recognized and respected member of our team. We take great care to give attention to the cultural needs of our patients, as well as our providers. In the Northwest region, we have several Latino-focused centers dedicated to caring for Latin-American members of our community.
We are committed to creating a workforce with a high level of cultural sensitivity, as well as the language skills needed to help eliminate cultural communication barriers. The diversity of our workforce allows us to meet the needs of each of our members in a meaningful way, and to provide them with the best possible care. We celebrate our diversity.
Culturally Competent Care
We strive to provide services to our members in a way that is comfortable to them, sensitive to their culture, and conducted in their preferred language. Under the direction of our National Diversity Council, Northwest Permanente has played an important role in advancing culturally competent care, which acknowledges cultural diversity in the clinical setting, respects members’ beliefs and practices, and ensures that cultural needs are considered and respected at every point of contact.
Centers of Excellence
Through our Institute for Culturally Competent Care, Kaiser Permanente has established “Centers of Excellence”: innovative clinical models that respond to the specific health needs of culturally diverse populations. Our newest facility, the Westside Medical Center, is one of our Latino-focused Centers of Excellence, along with our Rockwood and North Lancaster facilities.
Northwest Permanente is proud to be an EEO/AA employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or disability status.
