School: Rush Medical College
Fellowship: University of California, San Diego
Residency: Internal Medicine at University of California, San Diego
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where I attended college and medical school. I decided to become a doctor during college as I enjoyed mentorship and service. I moved to San Diego, California where I did my residency and fellowship and met my wife. We decided to move to Pacific Northwest after visiting Portland, Oregon and falling in love with the outdoors and beautiful scenery and we have had no regrets moving here.
About my practice
I enjoy all aspects of nephrology and especially have an interest in transplantation nephrology. I strive in my practice to stress importance of patient education and making sure my patients understand their disease as well as their treatments. I have a passion for providing medical education to patients and other clinicians as I believe that the time I spend with a patient or another physician is an opportunity for learning both for me as well as the other clinician or patient.
How I thrive
I am an avid hiker and climber and you may run into me on hikes in the Gorge or climbs in Smith Rock.
